Why Cardboard Punch Chits Fail in Campaigns
Punchboard tokens are made of compressed greyboard coated with a 0.1 mm paper laminate. With routine game handling, fingernails catch the edges, humidity splits the layers, and pieces slide when a player leans against the table. Our turned brass currency coins have a mass density of 8.5 g/cm³ compared to greyboard’s 0.7 g/cm³.
That twelve-fold mass advantage means a stack of ten brass denomination coins stays exactly where you stack it. Accidental elbow knocks or dice rolls rolling off the playmat simply bounce off without displacing bank reserves.

Token Selection Workflow
- Economy Audit: Review your title’s bank requirements (e.g., Scythe, Brass: Birmingham, Dune: Imperium). We determine the ideal denomination split to replace cardboard counters.
- Tray Well Integration: We configure token hopper depths in our birch box inserts so tokens slide out easily with finger scoops.
- Counter Weight Feel: Test sample sets on our precision scales at 1500 SW 1st Ave in Portland between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM daily.
